The first official licensed Bagpuss app for iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch



Bagpuss, once voted the favourite BBC Children’s TV programme, is now a great game app allowing fans new and old to once again enjoy the adventures of the old cloth cat and his toyshop friends. Created by Oliver Postgate and Peter Firmin of Smallfilms, the series was set on a turn on the 20th Century toyshop where Emily would bring a toy to Bagpuss, who together with his friends, including Gabriel the Toad, Professor Yaffle and the Mice from the Mouse Organ would set about trying to understand the item and tell a story about it.

Now the nostalgia of this classic TV programme is brought to a new generation of children with this beautiful fun app.

With an intuitive interface that allows the child to immediately pick up and play games including Mending Pictures , Finding Mice, The Marvellous Mechanical Mouse Organ, What’s the Time, Tidy Up, Dressing Up , Keep Running Charlie Mouse, Thinking Caps and Find Gabriel, plus many more the Bagpuss app encourages learning , letter and number skills as well as creativity and problem solving..

Each game has two levels of difficulty and as the child progresses the game progresses with them to provide a gentle but steady learning curve.

ABOUT BAGPUSS
Bagpuss is a classic UK childrens television series, made by Peter Firmin and Oliver Postgate from 20 February 1974 to 15 May 1974 through their company Smallfilms. The title character was "an old, saggy cloth cat, baggy, and a bit loose at the seams" . Although only 13 episodes were made, it remains fondly remembered, and was frequently repeated in the UK for 13 years. In 1999 Bagpuss topped a BBC poll for the UKs favourite childrens TV programme.

ABOUT SMALL FILMS
Smallfilms was a British company that made animated television programmes for children, from 1959 to the 1980s. It was a partnership between Oliver Postgate (writer, animator and narrator) and Peter Firmin (model maker and illustrator). As well as Bagpuss the company made a number of hugely popular series of short films were made using stop-motion animation, including The Clangers, recently recommissioned by the BBC, , Noggin the Nog, and Ivor the Engine.
